Stratford-upon-Avon Cricket Club is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the region. We have 3 Saturday league teams, including our 1st XI who play in the highly competitive Warwickshire Premier League (finished 5th in 2019).
Our home, Swan’s Nest Lane, is regarded as one of the most picturesque cricket grounds in the country. In the recent past we’ve hosted County Championship matches as well as Women’s ODIs.
Off the field we’re an extremely social club. Throughout the season we hold regular social events, as well as impromptu gatherings most weekends and midweek.
We also have strong links to county cricket – both Andy Flower and Jim Troughton are club members.
We’re located in the ‘West Midlands’ – 1 hour south of Birmingham and 2 hours north of London – with good transport links to the rest of the UK.
Stratford-upon-Avon is a medium sized, affluent town, often voted one of the best places to live in the country. It’s most famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare and attracts millions of tourists each year.
Almost all of the players at our club live in the town or the surrounding villages and often take advantage of the active nightlife.
