East Burwood Cricket Club

After the 1992/93 season, East Burwood and Bennettswood merged to form East Burwood/Bennettswood CC. The clubs had been running a joint junior program for the previous two seasons, and with both clubs having declining senior player numbers and the new facilities at East Burwood Reserve it was a decision that made sense for both clubs.
In August 2013 the members of the club voted to drop Bennettswood from the clubs name. The reasons for this were to simplify the name, align the club with the East Burwood FC and especially it's junior program, and to also align the club with the local East Burwood community to better attract new players and sponsors.
In 2016/17 East Burwood finally won it's first McIntosh Shield as a merged club after many heart-breaking losses.
