Bredbury St.Marks Cricket Club was formed in 1913 and play at Hillside Road, Woodley, a small village on the outskirts of Stockport. The club has grown over the years so that there are currently 6 senior teams (including a casuals and veterans team) and 5 junior teams from under 9's to under 19's. The club currently play in the UK Fast Cheshire League, the Vivio Cheshire County League and the Cheshire High Peak Junior League.

2013 was our centenary year and the club was successful in winning both the Cheshire County League 2nd XI Championship and the Over 40s South East Championship with the the 1st XI winning the Fair Play award.

We have a strong emphasis on junior development and our junior section is widely recognised as being one of the best in the area. Our philosophy is to provide opportunities for the development and enjoyment of playing cricket at all levels of ability, boys and girls. We have 11 qualified coaches two of whom have attained the ECB Club Coach level. Coaching for juniors takes place in the summer on Thursdays from 6pm to 7pm (U9 + U11) Friday evenings from 5.30 to 8.00 pm (from 6 to 15 year olds). We also ran 2 sessions of All Stars (5 to 8 year olds) and a girls session. Players 16 years and over will then graduate into the senior teams.

The club enjoys England and Wales Cricket Board “Focus Club” status and has ClubMark accreditation.
