MUST BE A BRITISH PASSPORT HOLDER OR ELIGIBLE FOR WORKING HOLIDAY VISA DUE TO RECENT CHANGES TO SPORTS VISAS IN AUSTRALIA. ALSO, WE PLAY ON SYNTHETIC PITCHES. NO TURF.

We are a small club on the outskirts of Geelong, Victoria, Australia.

We are seeking a young WICKET KEEPER or OPENING BOWLER to lead our attack in the 24/25 season. We train Tuesday and Thursday and play our games on Saturdays. A mixture of two day games and one day games. The season starts in October 2024 and finishes in March 2025.

We don’t offer any remuneration for playing, however, we will cover flights, visa, all your apparel and even some junior coaching opportunities. Accomodation is also provided but at a small cost. All in all, we offer a learning and fun experience which is ideal for a young club cricketer.

We are 5 minutes away from the town of Ocean Grove which is part of the amazing surf coast, 15 minutes away from Geelong town centre and an hour away from Melbourne. The location is a great start point to an endless amount of tourism hotspots and nightlife.

We currently have 4 men’s sides, 3 women’s sides and a strong junior section.

All of our cricket is played on synthetic (hardwicket) pitches in a competitive competition. We are currently in division two which is very competitive cricket, with a lot of good cricketers. We are striving for promotion after we were beaten in the semi final last season and believe if we get a couple more recruits, we are a serious contender for the title.

We have a strong social aspect to the club, extremely welcoming and friendly. We also currently have two English lads playing here, one of which is our senior mens coach.

While we have strong expectations on field, we would like to think that the player we get, is coming over to experience more than just cricket.

All other details will be discussed with the right candidate.
