NEO Cricket Club is a thriving Greater London community sporting club. On Saturdays, we have two senior teams competing in the Essex County Cricket League, with our first eleven competing in the Championship Division; on Sundays, we have two senior teams competing in the National Cricket League, with our first eleven competing in the Primera Division; and we also have a midweek leam. There are three junior age groups that participate (under 11, 13, and 15). During the summer, we run All-Stars and diamond programmes, as well as providing coaching to local schools and communities. NEO Cricket Club has a strong connection to the local community, with a membership base in Essex.
We are proud of our ‘all are welcome' stance toward new players; whether young or older, we welcome everyone to join the club and enjoy the mental and physical benefits of sports. Mr Ayaz Karim (Level 2 Cricket Coach, England Cricket Board) and Mr Abu Sama Biplob founded it in March 2011. (Sports Organiser and Senior Cricket Coach). The goal is to deliver unrivalled quality cricket teaching to young individuals learning the game throughout the United Kingdom. Throughout the year, many young cricketers benefit from first-class coaching. It gives young players a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train intensively in their home communities. Players also benefit from participating in various age-group cricket and high-performance programmes.
Our year-round training group and one-to-one training programmes are led by our head coach, an ex-Bangladesh national cricketer and ECB-qualified level 2 coach who is also the Greenwich district's high-performance coach, and are accompanied by ECB-qualified level 1 and 2 coaches. The training programme is run by four Level-2 and three Level-1 trainers, including two female coaches.
