A club in Cricket Far North (Cairns) is seeking applications from a young and aspiring cricketers from outside of Australia looking to expand their experience with a summer of Australian cricket. Our club play in the Cricket Far North Competition up in Cairns.

We are looking for an overseas player who can bat in the top 4. Our main priority is to find a solid batsmen however we also ideally would like someone who bowls medium/fast pace and even better someone who can swing a ball. The successful candidate will be expected to make runs and be successful in first grade. The successful applicant will have to have a strong work ethic for both cricket and also whilst working.

Applicants should be 18 to 24 years of age, be serious about their cricketing education and be available for the best part of the Australian season spanning October to March (previous home club commitments considered).
Cricket Far North Association is a strong competition with very talented cricketers and we play on well-maintained grounds and turf wickets. Our offer includes:
• All cricket registration fees paid
• All club required clothing provided
• Work provided which will be paid at an hourly rate on a casual basis however strong work ethic is required.
• Training in and required to help curate at our ground.
• Required to coach junior teams (Coaching of how to coach provided if required)
• Room & board provided with payment to be made with weekly income from job and hours worked in coaching/grounds keeping role which we can negotiate on in the contract.

The successful applicant would be responsible for their own travel costs and visa requirements however we are open to providing upfront costs with a negotiated payment plan from work completed at your employment. We would collect the player from (and return them to) Cairns Airport and would welcome them into our own cricketing family for the summer.
